Member’s Diary

As told to BLP by a female member, age 34, Consultant, never married, living in Surrey.

Love at first sight – real or a delusion?

Delusion; there’s attraction at first sight, but loving someone is about so much more than their physical appearance.

What are you best at?

Making time for the people who matter to me; they’re important, and I want to keep them in my life!

Oh, and shoe buying…

What item can’t you live without?

My passport.

What do you value in a partner?

Someone who is capable of listening. A man who is kind and honest with similar fundamental values.

What is your top travel tip?

Make an effort to get to know some local people; they can give you so much insight into the place that you are visiting and can point you in the direction of some “hidden gems”.  Dinners and outings with local families have given me some of my favourite travel memories.

What’s your favourite restaurant?

There’s a little family run-Korean restaurant down the road from where I live which always serves great quality and interesting food! I think that’s near the top of the list.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?

Kindness costs you nothing.

Bowes-Lyon Partnership Referral Rate Grows To 20%

Dating habitsWhere some companies measure success through year-on-year profit or overall growth, a professional dating agency is best able to judge its own achievements with client satisfaction. At Bowes-Lyon Partnership, the number of word of mouth recommendations for this year has shot up to 20% from around 15% in 2012. This jump has been attributed to members increasingly recommending their friends, family members and colleagues after experiencing their own successful match.

The elite dating agency based in London mixes traditional match-making instinct with a bespoke, highly personalised approach. The team at the agency take their time to get to know each member personally to further understand their unique personalities and what they look for in a potential partner. Shunning traditional dating profiles and impersonal pages where members chat amongst themselves, Bowes-Lyon Partnership has found that their individualised approach to modern dating has resulted in satisfied clients who recommend the service to their loved ones.

Co-founder Natalie Bystram said, “Our members trust us to help them make what is arguably one of the most important decisions in life so we’re delighted that more and more of them are recommending us to their friends and family members. It shows that we are making a real difference.”

The majority of members who sign up to Bowes-Lyon Partnership are high-flying individuals in elite career paths. The care and attention showed by the staff at the London dating agency is not only given to personalities and values, but lifestyles and schedules. This approach has proven itself to be highly successful in matching suitable partners and is always something which is given great consideration by the team.

Along with the personal, tailor-made approach to finding a partner, Bowes-Lyon Partnership offers all clients a wealth of complimentary services which are invaluable at the start of a new relationship. The dating agency for elite individuals understands that the dating process is not simply about showing up on the day and hoping for the best outcome; successful relationships require work. All clients are given access to experts in a variety of fields who can assist on this front, including relationship gurus, personal trainers and lifestyle and concierge services. Emotional baggage is overcome, and clients can feel entirely comfortable in their own skin before they set out to begin the nerve wracking process of dating. A new partnership with Look Right Photography also means that clients can take advantage of a complimentary photography session as part of their membership package, for a confidence boost with lasting printed memories. It is this attention to detail and understanding of the trials and tribulations of dating that has created so many happy Bowes-Lyon Partnership members eager to recommend the service to others.

Are Britain’s Professionals Finding They Have No Time for Love?

Statistics show that in 2009 132,361 divorce petitions were filed in England and Wales and the figure is predicted to continue growing steadily for the foreseeable future. The average age of a UK divorced man is 43.7 years old and for a UK woman its 37.3 years.

The pressure to perform in the workplace has never been higher than in the current economic climate. In fact, many believe that 100% is no longer good enough. Employers are asking their workers to produce better results, work longer hours and make huge sacrifices for businesses not only to prosper but to merely survive.

As a result of the long hours that Britain’s professionals are now working, family life is suffering and single people are finding it ever more difficult to meet and form lasting relationships. Where does a divorced 43 year old go to start his love life again? Does a divorced 37 year old woman stand out in a trendy bar?

Successful, professional, single and divorced people are no longer prepared to wait for love to find them. In today’s busy world they are increasingly employing specialist introduction agencies to make sure they find love.

Sisters Hayley and Natalie Bystram are a shining beacon standing tall with their business Bowes-Lyon Partnership among London’s premier introduction agencies. Bowes-Lyon Partnership has a proven track record, with 75% of its members finding committed relationships through the agency. It prides itself on providing exceptional quality service, and have a unique ‘Relationship Ready’ team of experts in place to help members find their feet and gain confidence before embarking on a date. The team has everything a busy professional needs all in one place, from a life coach to a personal stylist and photographer.

The sisters have helped hundreds of people to start the journey of finding a new life partner and while no guarantees can be given, their success rate speaks for itself. Every potential client is interviewed by either Hayley or Natalie and each sister has developed a sixth sense and a gut feeling which is seldom wrong.

As their business becomes stronger the sisters are acutely aware that their underpinning principles of integrity, discretion and quality service must always be paramount in their thinking and future plans. It is these “old fashioned values” that ensure quality service and repay the trust their clients have shown by allowing them to find their perfect life partner.

Natalie Bystram said “Our members trust us to help them make what is arguably one of the most important decisions in life, so we don’t work with a one size fits all approach. Each member is treated as an individual which means we have the best chance of success.”

Hayley Bystram said, “We provide a bespoke membership tailored to the individual and we only take on clients where we truly feel confident that we can guarantee a high level of success.”

Case Study:Peter

Peter, 64

Peter joined the agency in August after reading about Bowes-Lyon Partnership in Belgravia magazine. He initially met Hayley at the office in Belgravia, liked her a lot and signed up the next day.

Peter has been divorced since 1994. Initially Hayley came up with two ladies who she thought Peter would get along well with. Both happened to be abroad at the time so two days later, Hayley emailed Peter again to introduce him to another lady who lives in Scotland. She was coming down to London the following week and was interested in meeting him. The two met up and hit it off straight away, she’s been to London, he’s been up to Scotland and they’ve even been to Paris for lunch.

As Peter said “You don’t expect it straight out the box. She’s the first person I’ve met since joining the agency but I’ve put my membership on hold. I think you have to be ready to meet someone. You get something out of it. I didn’t expect to meet anyone and not for it to go as far as it has. It’s relatively early days but we’re having a nice time and we’ll see where it goes.

“I would definitely recommend Bowes-Lyon Partnership. I like them because I like Hayley. I like her character and her personal approach. The thing about Bowes-Lyon is that you have someone that’s taken the time to get to know you, that’s sifting through profiles for you. You also know that anyone who has taken the time to join an introduction agency has also got to be serious about finding someone”.

New Dating Survey Reveals Top Three 1st Date Faux Pas

Dating survey reveals surefire way to avoid a second dateA brand new dating survey has revealed the top three faux pas to avoid on a first date. In a poll of hundreds of singletons, a trio of conversational errors were deemed to be the biggest barrier to a second date, easily topping niggles such as talking on a mobile or texting during the meeting, tardiness and dress sense.

In the study, carried out by elite dating agency Bowes-Lyon Partnership, more than 200 daters were asked what they would find most off putting on a first date. All agreed that a partner who talked non-stop about themselves was unattractive, unappealing and the quickest way to bring the date to a premature end. Female respondents were most vocal on this matter, with 100% saying that men who regaled them with life stories, career histories and family tales on the first date would be unlikely to get a second chance.

Those who talked about previous relationships and recent exes were just as likely to be refused a second date, as was anyone who was negative – examples from respondents ranged from their date moaning about a bad day at work, griping over a recent tax bill and anger at getting their heel caught in a drain on the way to the bar.

Dating expert Natalie Bystram, co-founder of Bowes-Lyon Partnership said, “The results of our dating survey have been a real eye-opener in terms of where daters draw the line and what pet hates are enough to bring a budding relationship to a halt almost before it’s started. People talking non-stop about themselves was particularly problematic for our female respondents, who complained much more then male participants about the ‘me, me, me’ conversation. Obviously it’s good to be open and talk in moderation about yourself, but it needs to be balanced with relaxed questions to the other party as well as lots of listening.

“The same applies to talking about an ex partner, which was also a massive stumbling block for many. It’s important to be open but nobody wants to be a therapist on a first date or to be given the impression that feelings are still lingering. We all lead busy lives and no one wants to feel like their time is being wasted on someone who isn’t really ready emotionally.
“Keeping things upbeat was also a big priority for those meeting a potential new partner for the first time. Our survey findings were very clear; unless you can see the funny or positive side of a bad situation, keep it to yourself, at least at the start.”

Based in London, Bowes-Lyon Partnership is a professional dating agency which specialises in bringing accomplished individuals together. As well as the matchmaking service, members also enjoy unrestricted access to a crack team of dating experts, including life coaches, stylists, lifestyle gurus, health and fitness consultations.

Bowes-Lyon Partnership Teams Up With Leading Portrait Photographer

Bowes-Lyon Partnership has teamed up with a leading photographer in order to offer its clients a complimentary photography session as part of their elite dating agency membership package.

Hakon Sveinsson (pictured) and Look Right Photography are stationed in a top London studio and are offering all clients of the professional dating agency the opportunity to put faces to names when considering potential introductions, by way of a high-end photography session. Hakon, who specialises in portrait photography, is an expert at capturing best angles and also offers retouching services to ensure that the final photos are nothing less than perfect.

Though photos are by no means a necessity when considering an introduction through the exclusive dating agency, many clients are fairly visual beings, and being able to match faces to names can be a helpful feature of the service. Whether Hakon captures an au naturel shot which offers a glimpse of personality or a posed shot  with a beaming smile looking right down the lens demonstrating vitality and a zest for life, , the photos can help to enhance the introduction process and give potential matches more of an idea what to expect.

The photography session is offered as part of Bowes-Lyon Partnership’s ‘Relationship Ready’ service, which specialises in making all clients look and feel their best, both inside and out.

The service offers clients access to nutritional experts and stylists, whilst a relationship guru and a lifestyle management team can help to take care of emotional issues and the practical elements of dating respectively.

The partnership with Hakon not only offers clients the opportunity to be pampered and look their best for the day, it also offers a lasting reminder of their ‘Relationship Ready’ self before they hit the dating scene. Hakon’s professional and friendly nature helps all clients to feel at ease throughout, and the day itself can act as a great confidence booster for those who haven’t dated in a while.

Whilst the session is offered as a complimentary gift for all Bowes-Lyon Partnership clients, express permission will be required from the client before any photos acquired from the sessions are used in an introductory context. All information and photographs from the sessions are held securely and only shared with other clients once consent is given.
